You may have seen on Social Media that the anticipated facilities bill for the Club this year will be £175,000. This is unprecedented in grassroots football. Huntershill alone will be £100,000. The increases of last year gave a rise of about £25,000 on the previous year. The Club has taken the brunt of it, however this means that we, like previous years are unable to buy new equipment, pay for Coaching and First Aid Certificates for the volunteers which we do as they should not be out of pocket.
We are taking the unusual step to come to you directly to ask that your child participates in a sponsored walk to raise funds. We hope that you will support on this.
It is now a £100 per week for an eleven a side team just to train. Add a pitch for a match day plus referees, an eleven a side team has to find a minimum of £650 per month before anything else. That is just over £40 per player in a squad of 16.
